How do emotions become trapped? There are a few ways that emotions become trapped. During our lifetime, we have all gone through negative experiences that cause emotional upset. If we hold on to these energies or do not process and release them, they become trapped and reside in our energy field. They are the “baggage” in our lives that contribute to disease, sickness, blocks to success, pain, depression, panic attacks and phobias. They are responsible for 90% of pain. Another way to create a trapped emotion is to absorb it from someone else, so you can be carrying other people’s baggage. You can also inherit trapped emotions from your parents at the time of conception or absorb them during your mother’s pregnancy.
